What does your role involve?
I am responsible for ensuring Lawlink meets its strategic objectives as determined by our Board of Directors. On a day-to-day basis my role is varied and challenging. I facilitate opportunities to both consolidate and grow our firms’ businesses through sharing ideas and resources.
Lawlink is tasked with enhancing the service that the firms offer to their clients while enabling each firm to retain their own individual approach, culture and brand.
Along with the Lawlink team and member firms we develop the agenda for the annual Lawlink conference. Lawlink is committed to attracting high calibre speakers to enhance the networking and sharing of ideas and best practice, while building enduring, supportive relationships between our law firms throughout Aotearoa.
What qualities and experience do you bring to the role?
I have a varied background in general management; including strategy, marketing, sponsorship, CSR, events, communications, business development, and governance while working for both commercial and not-for profit organisations. I have experience in professional services and therefore understand the challenges as well as the rewards that exist within the legal profession.
What do you find rewarding about working at Lawlink?
I enjoy seeing our Lawlink firms, and the individuals within, achieve their full potential.
It’s rewarding working in a collaborative and inclusive environment that is non-prescriptive, open to new ideas, and where continuous improvement is a key driver.
What makes Lawlink special?
Collegiality and a willingness to share ideas and information is at the heart of the Lawlink ethos. We have been able to extend our networking further by creating special interest groups around targeted issues. Through these networks, long-lasting professional relationships and friendships develop.
Our member firms tell us they see the value in sharing ideas, resources, and business processes.
