My role involves handling the day-to-day administration of the office, including managing the accounts. I provide help-desk support for the precedents, and back-up support for information services in Vicky’s absence. I also assist with the organisation of the annual Lawlink conference and am part of the eNewsletter editorial team – sourcing articles and managing production.
Before joining Lawlink, I spent a number of years in customer services positions. I am comfortable in a public facing role, which is important because at Lawlink it is necessary for me to build relationships and communicate well with people. This role also lends itself to someone who can multitask and who is keen to learn new things. Over the many years that I have been here I have grown the job and taken on more responsibilities.
I really enjoy having the opportunity to work with so many people throughout the group. And at Lawlink you get to see results quickly. For example we recently launched a new delivery system for our precedents. This was something our members’ really wanted and they contributed towards the development of it. It was pleasing to see it launch on time and in line with our members needs.
For me, this is a different type of place to work and that in itself makes it special. I have seen people get to know each other and years later those relationships still remain strong.
